For privacy questions specifically, our Data Protection Officer can be reached at junreyligutom04@gmail.com.
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and a password. Your password is never stored in plain text — Firebase Authentication stores only a one-way cryptographic hash. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google.
When you make a booking, we collect your phone number, the dates of your stay, the number of guests, the room you select, any special requests, and your contact preferences.
If we ask you to verify your identity — for security, fraud prevention, or compliance with Philippine accommodation-registry requirements — we may collect images or PDFs of government-issued ID, such as your passport, driver's license, or national ID. These files are stored with access restricted to you and authorized Kwarto's staff, and never made public.
Payments are processed by PayMongo Philippines, Inc., a licensed Philippine payment processor. Your card number, GCash credentials, or Maya credentials are entered directly into PayMongo's secure pages — we never see, store, or have access to those credentials. We only receive a confirmation of the result (success or failure), the amount paid, and a payment reference number.
Any messages you exchange with us through the in-site chat, including text and any image attachments, are stored along with your name and timestamps so we can answer you and keep a record of the conversation.
If you upload an avatar, the image file is stored against your account.
If you enable push notifications, we store the device token that Firebase Cloud Messaging issues for your browser or device so we can send you notifications about your booking.
When you visit the site we automatically receive your IP address, browser type and version, basic device information, the pages you view, and the times you visit. This is collected by our analytics tools (see below) and the server logs of our hosting provider.
